Sensory Toys Make Sense! Activity—Me and My Senses Activity Sheet Me and My Senses Activity Sheet Instructions Think about a typical day in your life and list three things that you can hear, see, smell, taste and touch. I can Three Examples for Each Sense hear 1. 2. 3. see 2. 1. 3. smell 1. 2. 3. taste 1. 2. 3. touch 1. 2. 3. Closure. My 5 Senses Book These 5 senses activities were sparked by this simple 5 Senses book I found at a local thrift store. I adore these Let’s-Read -And- Find -Out science books. So I chose to set up a science discovery table with simple science activities that make use of each of the 5 senses. I combined different elements from around the house.
Sight, smell, taste, hearing, and touch—our five senses teach us about our world. Beloved author-illustrator Aliki’s simple, engaging text and colorful artwork show young readers how they use their senses to smell a rose or play with a puppy. My Five Senses activities, crafts, lessons, games, and printables for preschool and kindergarten. Our five senses allow us to enjoy the world around us -- the taste of our food, the sound of music, the beauty of a sunrise, the softness of a cat's fur, and the fragrance of a rose. Children may recognize the importance of their senses, but they don't often focus on them individually.
My 5 year old son absolutely adores this book. He asks me to read it repeatedly, and has fun pointing out when he's using his senses just like the (adorably illustrated) child in Aliki's book does. It's a lively, fun introduction to an important scientific concept/5(). Hearing things with our ears is one of the ways we learn about our world. Hearing is one of our five senses. When I look in the mirror, I can see my skin. My skin covers just about every inch of me. It is my tough outside package. If I scrape it or cut it, it will grow back but I put a bandaid on it until it does. If I look closely at my skin.
